As to date, I’ve been taking my vitamins everyday.. I haven’t missed a day yet except for this morning; so I still have time (no worries).
Anyway, it’s been going pretty good. I was also doing pretty well on eating healthy until I ate Chic-fil-a yesterday and then I had a currito burrito today -____- you can’t win them all, right?
Plus, Thanksgiving is coming up! So I know I’m about to eat bad anyway - I know, I know. I’m making up all the excuses. So yeah, I’m developing one healthy habit at a time. As of right now, taking my vitamins everyday have been a positive one.
I typically take my vitamins with yogurt. Don’t ask me why, I just do. So yeah - I just wanted to give you all an update on how well I’m doing so far. The moment of truth will come after Thanksgiving.
Enjoy the holidays! Happy turkey day!
So here I go again..
I’m starting another diet in which I’m trying to not only eat healthy, but also become consistent with eating healthy on a daily basis.
Last quarter in the Spring - I tried to do a detox diet in which I was not suppose to eat meat, fast food, sugar, carbohydrates, and more plus I couldn’t drink juice of any kind. All I could eat was food at its rawest forms and vitamins. Unfortunately, only insane people can do that - go figures. I’m not that insane.
So what I’m trying to do now is maintain a healthy diet. Right now, my eating habits are poor and inconsistent. I don’t eat three meals a day and I don’t prepare any of my meals. On top of all that, I don’t work out. I don’t have time. As a student leader who is overly involved in everything, I don’t have time for my personal needs; but all of that has to change. I’m not putting my personal health at risk anymore.
Now that my body & my metabolism are changing - it’s about time I do the same.
Last night, I went to the grocery store and bought vitamins, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, turkey meat, juice, nature valley bars, water bottles, and more. I’m trying to detoxify my body of fast food and sugary substances (unless it’s natural). Lately, I’ve been noticing in pictures that my face is getting fatter and chunkier. I hate it.
So my first call to action was to prepare my meal plan week-by-week in which I go to the grocery store and buy food for one week and pre-package it all so that I am able to take it to work & classes with me.
I don’t want to eat for pleasure, I want to eat to be healthy.
My vitamin intake includes: antioxidants, vitamin e, a multivitamin, and (3) biotin vitamins.
You have to eat a meal or a food substance before, after, or during your intake of vitamin supplements. You can become very sick or get nauseous if you decide not too.
Today, my meal consisted of: (1) Water Bottle, all the vitamins mentioned above, (1) Honey & Oats Nature Valley Bar, (1) serving of carrots, (1) serving of green grapes, (1) honey turkey/honey whole grain sandwich, and (1) waffle with syrup.
All throughout your day you should be keeping your body hydrated and enriched with nutrients that will help you do and feel better throughout the day.
I’m going to start along this journey once more so we will see how it goes. I want to include people on my journey, but for now I’m going to keep myself accountable and do this for myself.
Also, it’s recommended that you work-out 4-5 times a week, so before the day is over - I will be heading to the gym to work out.
See you tomorrow,
I’m going to do this.
